On Tuesday 7th May it was a pleasure to join the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Parliament to discuss tackling terrorism and domestic threats from Iran.
We were joined by the former vice-president of the European Parliament and President of the International Committee in Search of Justice, Dr Alejo Vidal Quadras, shared his powerful testimony.
Dr Quadras was the target of an assassination attempt in Madrid on 9 November 2023, after he was shot, he gathered all his strength to write “Iran” on his mobile indicating who was responsible for the criminal act.
Both the Ministry of Intelligence and Security and the IRGC, have been responsible for numerous terrorist acts outside Iran, and brazen assassinations of opposition figures in various European and neighbouring countries has been the Iranian regime’s modus operandi since its inception.
I am proud to stand with those who oppose the medieval Iranian regime and fully support their quest for freedom and democracy. We must take decisive action to counter the Iranian regime’s terrorism in Europe and our police and security services need every legal tool to combat and tackle the domestic and international threat Iran poses.
